Simply Skate Arena do not disclose website visitors information to third parties. We will only use the information we collect from you lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. Customers who opt in will from time to time receive our email newsletter and special offers e-shot promotions, opt out options are available. We use third party provider Mailchimp for customers who sign up to our mailing list.

If you have subscribed to our mailing list, it is your right to view, update, withhold and remove your data. To do this you need to contact us directly via email or telephone.

Data collected from this site is used to administer and enhance the site & service.


Who we are

Simply Skate Arena is the UK’s number 1 inline skating facility hosting skating sessions parties, and events.  We take the privacy of our customers seriously, and our privacy policy details what steps we take to keep your personal data protected.


What data do we collect?

We do require many different form of data from our customers, depending on what form of booking. The main bookings that require personal data are party booking forms, skating/hockey/ lessons sign up forms, swegway disclaimer forms.

The data that we collect includes:

  • Name
  • Telephone contact number
  • Address
  • Email Address


What data we process?

The data that we collect from customers is used by Simply Skate Arena with direct relevance to your individual booking should we need to contact you individually e.g. to confirm party details, or notify customer of booking amendments. These details are stored within the relevant folders for bookings e.g. party booking, skating lessons file, hockey lessons file or events booking forms.

Email addresses are added to our mailing list. When collecting email addresses, customers are given the option to opt in to being added to the mailing list.  We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. Who we share with?

We use a third party E-Shot provider Mailchimp to send out our latest news, offers and product information. Your data is not shared with or sold to any other organisations.


How long do we store your personal data?

We store your personal details until the date of your booking has passed/ however long you attend skating/ hockey lessons. Once you no longer have a booking with us we no longer store the paper copy of your booking form as these are shredded.

If you have consented for us to add your email address to our mailing list, we will store this on there indefinitely.


What if I don’t want to be on the mailing list?

If you no longer wish to receive marketing emails from us you have the option to unsubscribe by clicking on the bottom of the email. Alternatively you can contact our us to manually remove you from our mailing list.


What are your rights?

You have the right to know what data we have of yours on record, make any changes to these details and have them removed if you wish. To do so please contact to request data or change/ removal of data.


Right to object

You have the right to object to providing details to Simply Skate Arena. Some personal data is required for certain bookings should we need to contact you with a legitimate interest, but it is not required to opt in to the mailing list for any booking.


What are the legitimate interests?

Legitimate interests of simply skate are relevant to current bookings, the data we require for legitimate interests is not used for marketing and is only used for instances where we need to contact you. Below is a list of common reasons of processing your data for legitimate interests:

  • Conforming party numbers.
  • Notifying customer of change to booking.
  • Contacting customer of lost property.
  • Contacting customer that has requested to be contacted.

There possibly could be other reasons for contacting a customer, but will the interest will only concern the booking that the customer holds.
